Current teaching programme

Teaching the Bible is an important part of our life here at Bromley Baptist. Notes for many of the sermons are available here on our website and in print after the service.

As of the Autumn 2008 series, audio downloads of some sermons are also available.

Current Series

- Ecclesiastes (Mornings, June- '10)
Why do I work so many hours? Where does all the time go? Why aren't we having any fun? Why's family life so demanding? What's God got to do with it? So many questions... Does anyone have any answers? The author of the ancient book of Ecclesiastes thinks not. But he does think the questions are worth asking and that in the asking we might just find the God who will make life worth living.

- Being a Holy People in an Unholy World (Evenings, May- '10)
2 Corinthians is about how to be a holy people in an unholy world. As we read it together we will discover that we can only live well, if we are part of a strong, mutually supportive community. Being reconciled to one another is a key demonstration that we have been reconciled to God through Jesus and a key component of our message to a world of fractured and fragmented relationships.

2009

- The Way of the Wise (Evenings, Sep-Nov '09)
Living as a follower of Jesus in today's world requires making multiple choices each day. James shows us how the basic choice we make - between doing things the world's way or God's - strengthens us to make all those other daily decisions. James shows us the way of the wise.

- Approaching the Apocalypse (Alt Weds '09)
Revelation is sometimes seen as a compendium of predictions about what will happen leading up to the second coming of Jesus. In fact it's a pastoral and prophetic letter telling God's people how to keep the faith in a world of competing empires. We explore this wonderful book, asking what God is saying to us through it about our lives in today's world.

- Following Jesus (Evenings, Jan-Jul '09)
We're taking a journey through Mark's gospel discovering who Jesus is, what he came to do and what it means to be a follower of his.

- Why Follow Jesus? (Mornings, Jan-Apr '09)
There are lots of questions about the Christian faith. This series aims to answer some of them and invite you to explore what the Christian way of life is all about.
